This week, I tested World Labs’ Marble for world building. In my final concept, players will be able to upload a photo of a real space they have experienced, and use it to construct a unique memory scene in UE5. They will then be able to restore, modify, and reconstruct that memory space.

This week’s experiment focused on Marble’s API and the LCC plugin, mainly exploring an automated workflow for image upload and model conversion. Images stored in a local folder can be automatically uploaded to Marble through a command-based process for scene generation. After the generated world files are downloaded locally, UE5 can automatically detect and import them into the scene template I demonstrated last week.

I am currently continuing to refine the technical setup for presenting these generated environments, while also designing how players might interact with, repair, and reshape the reconstructed memory spaces in the future.
